Day 26: 44-Day Challenge

Thursday, May 14, 2009

As you can see, I updated my blog design in preparation for what needs to be done.

I am worth it, and I am going to do something about it!

I am finally starting to feel a bit better, and I have an appointment next week with a specialist who can hopefully get me all straightened out and back on the road to healthyness. :-)

I have to talk about The Biggest Loser one last time, because I have to get this off of my chest.

Am I the only person who thought that Helen looked AWFUL? I think she starved herself for the last month. Her face looked unnatural.

Both Mike and Tara looked awesome and like they had been doing things the healthy way.

But Helen? Yikes.

I've been frustrated with Helen ever since she selfishly stayed there when everyone knew her daughter needed to stay. Her daughter seemed afraid to ASK to stay, because Helen wanted this so bad. And for very good reason, she ended up winning. But at what cost?

When they asked Helen if she thought she could win and she looked Tara and Mike up and down, and said "I think I have a pretty good chance." I WANTED TO SMACK HER. She looked so smug the whole show, it almost ruined the whole experience for me.

Personally - I don't want to get so skinny that I look like Helen. I want to look and feel healthy. And I want to still be able to be nice to people and not strut around like I'm better than everyone else!

And even though they didn't win, both Mike and Tara look fabulous and won some pretty cool prizes on the show.

But no matter what the results were . . .

Kristin is still my winner. I think she stayed true to herself the entire show and she looks fabulous. I can't wait to see what she does next.

Happy Thursday! Friday's coming!!

Kristin was also my favorite -- she had the best, healthiest attitude of anyone on the show.

I completely agree with you! Helen made me so mad, because she was smug and snotty the whole time she was on the finale. I think Kristin should have won the $100,000, because she looked absolutely fantastic, but Jerry did an awesome job too. Sione and Filipe were my favorites from the beginning, though.

And I just have to tell you that I love your blog! I too am on the road to weight loss and a healthier lifestyle, so it's encouraging to read your daily log. I've lost almost 80 pounds before, so I know it's possible...let's encourage each other!

And to end this mini-book comment :) I just have to tell you that having Angelina in the kindergarten class at church is so much fun. I will miss her when she moves on!
