New Not Too Unhealthy but COOL Food Find.

Okay . . . I have to say up front that I am not a big coffee fan. I love the smell of it, and I'll drink a mocha every now and then if I really need a kick of caffeine - but honestly, I LOOOVE Hot Chocolate. It is my favorite.

Well - the other day while perusing the grocery store, I found THIS:

You probably can't read the little ribbon but it says, "With as much Caffeine as a Cup of Coffee"! WOOHOO!! I snapped it up. The taste is pretty good (no Starbucks hot chocolate, but hey) and the nutritional information isn't as bad as I thought it would be:

Calories:110
Fat: 2g
Dietary Fiber: 1g
Protein: 1g
And 30% Calcium!

So now I have a yummy beverage to help wake me up in the morning!!! (And I found this at Marsh - but they probably have it at Wal-mart, etc.)

What do you use to wake up in the morning? Tell me! I want to know!

I forgot to say that I have used that before too and it is really good. I need to get some more. I am so much more productive after I've had a little caffeine, but I can't stand coffee!!

I have two issues with this product, if you're trying to lose weight:

1) A serving contains 110 calories. Do you really want to drink 110 calories which is the same calorie allotment for a snack ?

2) One serving contains a whopping 19 grams of sugar! To put this into perspective, 9 Hershey's Kisses contain 21 grams of sugar.

If you're trying to lose weight the rule of thumb is that you do not want to "drink" your calories. You also want to stick to complex carbohydrates such as those found in vegetables, fruit and whole grains while avoiding sugar.
